The Complete Guide to the Right Accessories in the Box
A strong body and a good barbell will take you far, but it's the accessories that ensure you can train continuously, without interruption or unnecessary pain. Tearing up your hands because you neglected your hand care, or losing your grip on the last repetition because your hands are covered in sweat, is frustrating – and completely avoidable.
The core of our accessory range
Hand Care (Grindstones & Callus Removers)
Preventative care is key. Thick, hard calluses are not a sign of strength – they are a ticking time bomb before they wear off in the rig. A good callus file (grindstone) or callus remover will keep the skin smooth and level with the rest of your hand. This will drastically reduce friction and allow you to hang on to the bar without worry.
Lime / Magnesium (Liquid & Block)
Chalk is a lifter's best friend. Magnesium carbonate absorbs moisture and sweat from the palms of your hands, which drastically increases friction against both the bar and the rig. We offer varieties that create less dust and stick harder, perfect for boxes with strict chalk regulations.
Sunglasses for Athletes (Outdoor WODs & Running)
Training doesn't stop indoors when the sun shines. Regular sunglasses slip off your nose as soon as your heart rate increases. Our sporty sunglasses are designed with an extremely lightweight and grippy frame that fits like a glove, whether you're running 400-meter intervals, doing sled pushes or doing handstand push-ups outdoors.
The difference between regular magnesium and liquid lime
Liquid Chalk
Best for: Gyms with dust bans and long workouts.
Liquid lime is magnesium carbonate mixed with alcohol. When you rub it in, the alcohol evaporates in seconds, leaving a solid, dry, sticky surface all over your hand. It stays on much longer than powder and doesn't create a cloud of dust.
Quicklime / Lime block
Best for: Weightlifting and quick "dips" in the bucket.
The classic version. Extremely quick to apply in the middle of a heart-pumping WOD. It gives an unbeatable raw feel and is a favorite of many when you need to quickly dry your palms before a heavy max lift.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
How often should I use a grindstone?
It depends on your training volume, but a good rule of thumb is to use the file 1-2 times a week. It’s best to gently buff the calluses at the end of a shower, when your skin is softened and warm. The goal is to file the callus down so it’s even with the surrounding skin – not to remove it completely.
How much liquid lime do I need to take?
It takes very little! A pea-sized dab is often enough to cover both palms. Spread it quickly, spread it on your fingers, and let your hands air dry for about 5–10 seconds until the chalk turns completely white.
Are your sunglasses suitable for running?
Yes, absolutely. Our training sunglasses are designed with a lightweight frame and materials that increase grip the more you sweat. They're built to not bounce, slide or fog up during high-intensity outdoor workouts.
